<p>On Sunday, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/eric-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eric Trump</a> offered a vision of the future in which the White House is paralyzed by legal battles if the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/supreme-court" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Supreme Cour</a>t rules against his father, former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>, in a debate over <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-to-hear-arguments-on-whether-trump-has-immunity-from-federal-prosecution" target="_blank" rel="noopener">immunity</a>.</p>
<p>Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Eric Trump, executive vice president of Trump Organization Inc., for his takeaway from last week&#8217;s oral arguments, during which the high court considered elder Trump&#8217;s claim that his <a href="https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-trump-capitol-riot-prosecution-immunity-72c885c07c77970d4380206f87b2d8ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">official acts</a> should be immune from federal prosecution.</p>
<p>&#8220;Well, God help us if they get it wrong. That&#8217;s what I take away. I know the system very, very well,&#8221; Eric Trump said during the <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6351932849112" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> on &#8220;Sunday Morning Futures.&#8221;</p>
<p>He argued the &#8220;only people who are going to benefit are big law firms in Washington, D.C., because they are going to go after every single president&#8221; and suggested they would start with former President Barack Obama over the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-doj-releasing-more-documents-operation-ryan-saavedra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Operation Fast and Furious controversy</a> and the IRS <a href="https://www.npr.org/2017/10/27/560308997/irs-apologizes-for-aggressive-scrutiny-of-conservative-groups" target="_blank" rel="noopener">going after conservatives</a>.</p>

<p>The Trump son said President Joe Biden could also become a target over the scandal over <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/photos-released-of-cocaine-discovered-at-white-house" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cocaine</a> being found in the White House, the Biden administration raiding his father&#8217;s Mar-a-Lago resort in a documents probe, and a significant Strategic Petroleum Reserve drawdown <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-nixes-plan-to-help-refill-strategic-petroleum-reserve" target="_blank" rel="noopener">right before the 2022 midterm elections</a>.</p>
<p>&#8220;I mean, where do you want to stop?&#8221; Eric Trump asked before suggesting that even former President George W. Bush might face renewed scrutiny due to the scandal regarding <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2023/03/14/a-look-back-at-how-fear-and-false-beliefs-bolstered-u-s-public-support-for-war-in-iraq/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unfounded</a> claims of <a href="https://apnews.com/article/iraq-war-wmds-us-intelligence-f9e21ac59d3a0470d9bfcc83544d706e" target="_blank" rel="noopener">weapons of mass destruction</a> in the run-up to the Iraq War.</p>
<p>&#8220;The only people that are going to win are going to be the lawyers in Washington, D.C. The floodgates are going to open,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I guarantee you Joe Biden will not have one foot outside of the White House doors before they start going after him legally, ruthlessly.&#8221;</p>

<p>Eric Trump contended that presidents &#8220;need immunity in this country. If they don&#8217;t, their entire tenure as president is literally going to be filled in depositions and subpoenas, like they have tried to do to my father for the last eight years.&#8221;</p>
<p>He added, &#8220;We can&#8217;t have this legal lawfare in this country. We need a president to actually be able to function and run the United States of America.&#8221;</p>
<p>Asked what he is expecting in June when it comes to a Supreme Court decision, Eric Trump said he hopes presidents can have &#8220;absolute immunity&#8221; — echoing his father&#8217;s stance as the elder Trump tries to fend off charges across multiple cases while running another campaign for the White House.</p>
<p>&#8220;And if they don&#8217;t, they&#8217;re not going to be able to function as presidents of the United States,&#8221; Eric Trump said.</p>
